Surf conditions at Minnis Bay can vary, but generally, the best time to surf is during the winter months when the waves are larger. During the summer months, the sea is generally calmer, making it a great time for beginners to learn.

If you're traveling by public transport, the nearest train station is Birchington-on-Sea, which is a 20-minute walk from the beach. There are also several bus routes that stop nearby, including the 8 and 8A services.
